Connecticut Man Accused of Murdering & Eating Victim

(Bridgeport, Connecticut) A 35-year-old man, Tyree Smith, has been accused of murdering another man with an axe and eating parts of him.

Smith faces a charge of murder.

Smith is charged with murdering Angel Gonzalez in Bridgeport on Dec. 15. Police say Smith ate one of Gonzalez's eyeballs and part of his brain.

Gonzalez's relatives have said Smith deserves to be condemned to spend the rest of his life in prison.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for this week.
