Drink Gas, Light a Smoke

(Havelock, North Carolina) A 43-year-old local man, Gary Allen Banning, died on Tuesday after an incident where he mistakenly drank from a jar of gasoline sitting next to his kitchen sink and subsequently lit a cigarette.

Banning burst into flames and died later at the UNC Burn Center in Chapel Hill.

Reportedly, police and fire marshals are investigating.
