Texas Woman Accused of Sex Assault of Girl Relative

(Odessa, Texas) A 36-year-old local woman, Jennifer A. Lopez, has been accused of sexually touching a female child relative.

Lopez faces a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Lopez’s arrest warrant affidavit stated that in August of 2011 a 16-year-old girl told her Odessa High School counselor that from the age of 6 to 11, she was "raped" by Lopez while they lived with a relative in Austin.

The girl was interviewed at Harmony Home in Odessa on Aug. 30, where she said when she was in first grade, Lopez touched and put her mouth on her breasts and touched her genitals, the affidavit stated. The girl said she also put her mouth on Lopez’s breasts and that Lopez told the girl to touch Lopez’s genitals, the affidavit stated.

The girl said she remembered that the last sexual assault happened when she was almost a 11 years old, the affidavit stated.

Lopez was booked into custody at the Ector County Detention Center.
