Marijuana Brownies Sickens High School Students

Justin Mendenhall and Katelynn Jennings

(Tredyffrin, Pennsylvania) Two people have been arrested for allegedly selling marijuana to high school students at Conestoga High School. The marijuana was subsequently used to make brownies which sickened several students.

Justin Mendenhall, 19, and Katelyn Ann Jennings, 20, face charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy and related offenses.
Police said a 15-year-old student went to the school nurse after having a reaction to ingesting marijuana. The student said the marijuana was recently purchased from a drug dealer and gave the police the phone number of the dealer, who was Mendenhall, police said.

Mendenhall has sold drugs to students numerous times in the past, police alleged.

Police contacted Mendenhall and set up an undercover buy of drugs. About 8 p.m. Friday, police officers met Mendenhall and Jennings at the Berwyn train station.
Mendenhall and Jennings were each booked and released on $5,000 bond.
