New York Woman Faces Drug Charges

(Medina, New York) A 52-year-old local woman, Debra Mercado, has been accused of selling prescription morphine pills.

Mercado faces charges of criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance.
Investigators worked two months on the case before executing a search warrant.

They say they seized 71 morphine pills, 67 Nucynta pills, both narcotics, valued at $1,500.
Mercado was booked into custody at the Orleans County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
