Nebraska Woman Accused of Child Sex Assault

(North Platte, Nebraska) A 39-year-old Hershey NE woman, Deanna Fischer, has been accused of multiple child sex offenses stemming from incidents in 2004, 2005 and 2011.

Deanna Fischer's husband also faced child sex assault charges in 2011 but was found dead in April 2011 from an apparent suicide.

Deanna Fischer pleaded not guilty Monday in Lincoln County District Court to three counts of sexual assault of a child.

Investigators said Fischer sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl in 2005.

She also was charged last week with fondling a young boy several years ago. Fischer faces trial on the charges in October.

Some charges against Fischer were dismissed when one of the victim's families was unwilling to cooperate with prosecutors.
