Missouri Educator Gets No Jail for Sex with Student - Update

(St. Charles County, Missouri)
A former teacher's aide with the Wentzville School District won't spend any time in jail after pleading guilty to having sex with one of her students.

Victoria Reinke, 30, of the 600 block of Aster Lane in O'Fallon, could have been sentenced to four years in prison, but on Monday, Circuit Judge Rick Zerr placed her on five year's probation instead. Prosecutors had sought a prison sentence of two years.[…]

According to prosecutors, the victim was a teen in the special education program. The boy, who initially was 16 when he met Reinke, has a learning disability with an IQ of 70.

He told prosecutors that the two did not have sexual intercourse until he was 17.
In conclusion, Reinke gets no jail although a felony conviction is on her record. Additionally, she was ordered to register as a sex offender.

Missouri Educator Accused of Sex with Student
[Previous 8/18/12 post]
(Wentzville, Missouri) A 29-year-old teacher's aide formerly at Timberland High School, Victoria Reinke, was arrested yesterday for engaging in sex with a 16-year-old student.

Reinke faces charges of statutory rape and sexual contact with a student.
In March, school district officials notified Wentzville police after they got a complaint that a 16-year-old student was involved in a relationship with Reinke for about five months.

During that time, Reinke worked as a teacher's aide at Timberland High School. None of the reported acts happened during school hours or on school property, police said, and no additional victims are involved.
Details on booking are unavailable.
