According to the U.S. Border Patrol, Mexican nationals illegally in the U.S. will no longer be deported via airline flights. The cessation of the flight program is being called a suspension as opposed to a cancellation.
The flights took illegal aliens to Mexico City based on the belief that illegal reentry to the U.S. was discouraged due to the distance back to the border.
Reportedly, the motive behind the policy change is cost coupled with decrease in demand.
