Louisiana Woman Accused of Sex with Boy

(Bayou Vista, Louisiana) A 23-year-old local woman, Kayla Bonnette, has been accused of engaging in sex with a 16-year-old boy.

Bonnette faces a charge of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office said it received a complaint on Aug. 21 about the incident.

Detectives said their investigation revealed Bonnette had sexual intercourse with the victim, who was 16 at the time.

They did not say when the act happened.

Bonnette was booked into custody at the St. Mary Parish Jail and later released on $5,000 bond.
