Missouri Woman Gets Prison for Child Sex Assault

(St. Charles County, Missouri) A 31-year-old local woman, Rebecca Sue Russell, has pleaded no contest to sexually assaulting two young girls she was babysitting at the Tee Kay Mobile Home Manor.

Russell entered an Alford plea to three counts of statutory sodomy. Under that arrangement, Russell did not admit guilt but conceded the prosecution had enough evidence to convict her.

Circuit Judge Ted House went with the recommendation of prosecutors to sentence Russell to 10 years on each of the three counts, with the sentences to run concurrently.

Two men, Billy Bunch Jr., 26, and John Scott Thomas III, 27, face separate prosecutions for sex assault on the same children.
