(San Diego, California) Top brass on the USS Vandergrift has been relieved of duty following a rowdy, alcohol-fueled visit to the port city of Vladivostok, Russia.
The ship's captain, Cmdr. Joseph E. Darlak, and executive officer, Lt. Cmdr. Ivan A. Jimenez, were removed along with the chief engineer and operations officer.
