Woman Fails to Register as Sex Offender

(York, Pennsylvania)
A Penn Township woman who had been convicted in Maryland of having sex with a 14-year-old boy in 2001 has been arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in Pennsylvania, the U.S. Marshals Service reported.

Leah McRobie, now 36, had been living in Penn Township, but when marshals performing checks on the addresses of more than 1,000 sex offenders required to register under the Megan's Law went to her home, they found she no longer lived there and had failed to register at her new address.

The marshal service's fugitive task force, which pursued leads in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Texas, tracked McRobie to a home in Baltimore, where she was taken into custody Friday morning.
McRobie awaits extradition.
