(Boaz, Alabama) Last Friday, a 31-year-old Marshall County woman, Laura Jean Murphree, gave birth.Subsequently, medical testing indicated that Murphree's newborn child was positive for methamphetamine. As a result, Murphree was arrested Sunday upon discharge from the hospital.
Murphree faces a charge of chemical endangerment of a child.
Murphree was booked into custody at the Marshall County Jail with bond set at $500,000.
