Texas Teacher Busted for Pot at School

(Plainview, Texas) A 41-year-old reading teacher at Coronado Junior High School, Kayna Cardy, was arrested this week for possession of marijuana at the school.

According to Superintendent Dr. Ron Miller, a search by a drug dog found the marijuana.

According to Miller, Cardy was placed on administrative leave with pay pending a hearing, but had the option to resign, which she did late Friday afternoon.

Cardy was booked into custody at the Hale County Jail and released on $2,500 bond.
