California Woman Accused of Killing Her Mother

(Woodland Hills, California) A 24-year-old woman, Laura Purviance, has been accused of fatally shooting her 61-year-old mother.

Laura Purviance was arrested by Ore. State Troopers around 4 a.m. Friday at a rest area along Interstate 5 about 13 miles north of Medford.

The victim, identified as Purviance’s 61-year-old mother, was found around 8:20 p.m. Thursday in the 5600 block of Mason Avenue.

Investigators allege that Purviance shot the woman during an argument. Purviance’s roommate found the body.

The victim was found face down on her bed, surrounded by blood.
