Arizona Woman Accused of Abusing Her Child

(Phoenix, Arizona) A 21-year-old local woman, Rickesha Jovani Burns, has been arrested for allegedly abusing her 2-year-old son.

Burns faces charges of sexual conduct with a minor and child abuse. Police were alerted about 8PM Sunday.

They say the child was crying and bleeding and was immediately transported to a Phoenix hospital.

Police say Burns told them her son had been playing with a 12-year-old boy at a park and he had done something to the child.

Doctors say the child had injuries around his rectal area and he needed surgery to remove a foreign object.
