(Lutz, Florida) A 37-year-old substitute teacher for Pasco County Schools, Leah Deyoung, was collared Thursday night for driving under the influence with her two small children in the car.
Deyoung was arrested after police observed her driving without her headlights on.
Once pulled over, the deputy reported Leah Deyoung's eyes were bloodshot, glassy and had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath.Details on booking are unavailable.
When asked if she had been drinking Deyoung told the deputy, with slurred speech, she had rinsed her mouth with Listerine, according to the arrest report.
During a field sobriety test, the deputy said she was unable to maintain her balance or touch the tip of her nose.
