Virginia Teacher Accused of Molesting Boy, 9

(Newport News, Virginia) An 18-year-old local woman, Nukia Shaneece Barnes, has been accused of molesting a 9-year-old boy in her home.

Barnes has been charged with aggravated sexual battery, forcible sodomy and crimes against nature.

Police say it happened in February, but the boy didn't tell his mother until recently.

The boy said Nukia Shaneece Barnes invited him into her residence and then sexually assaulted him, said police spokeswoman Holly McPherson.

Barns was arrested last Saturday. Details on booking are unavailable.
