Alabama Teacher Accused of Sexual Misconduct

(Albertville, Alabama) A 34-year-old substitute teacher at Albertville High School, Jennifer Marie Morton, has been accused of sexual misconduct while at school.

Morton faces a charge of misdemeanor sexual misconduct.

Police believe the woman was locked in a classroom with a 17-year-old student, and they were allegedly kissing.

School officials said Morton was only at Albertville High School for about three weeks. She was filling in for a science teacher who was on maternity leave.

Morton was booked into custody and released on bond. A court appearance is scheduled for May 21.
