(Madera County, California) A 30-year-old local bookkeeper, Melissa Judy Ann Pedersen, has been accused of embezzling almost $30,000 from two companies.
Detective Adam McEwen launched an investigation dating back to November 15, 2012 when the Sheriff’s Office was first tipped off about an alleged case of embezzlement.Pedersen was arrested on suspicion of forgery, embezzlement and grand theft and booked into custody at the Madera County Department of Corrections.
The victim at that time, Valley Fixtures Installers, had hired Pedersen as a Book Keeper from October 2011 to October 2012.
During the course of that investigation, another complaint of embezzlement was filed with the Sheriff’s Office… Same MO, same suspect, new victim – Madera Tractor & Implement.
