(Richford, Vermont) A 35-year-old first-grade teacher at Richford Elementary School, Shawna Steinhour, has been accused of felony embezzlement of $3,500 from the Richford Parent Teacher Organization.The embezzlement allegedly occurred from October 2011 to March 2012.
Franklin Northeast School Superintendent Jay Nichols told The Burlington Free Press that Steinhour will be on an indefinite paid leave from the school while the matter is being investigated.An appearance in Vermont Superior Court has been scheduled for May 20.
