Moscow Gay Pride

(Moscow, Russia) From RIA Novosti:
Several dozens of LGBT activists and their opponents were detained in the Russian capital on Saturday during a string of gay pride events in the city’s center, Moscow police said.

The majority were held during an attempted gay pride rally in front of the City Hall, which refused earlier to sanction the event.

Several gay rights activists were also held by the State Duma’s building when attempting to stage consecutive solitary pickets, which require no official permits.

Police reported in the afternoon that least 30 people were detained in downtown Moscow.
It appears that diversity and tolerance are not big themes in Russian life.

There is no need for that kind of "tolerance". Yeah, it exists, yeah, most people don't like it, no, existing doesn't give anyone the right to parade through the streets, mostly naked, essentially pissing off the rest of us. Unless we have the right to retaliate regarding our outrage? Things are broken, they are... about to start being fixed.

It'll probably start with the murders, pedophiles, things like that, but it'll move on. Well, and the bureaucrats who have supported these evils, even the police who have 'enforced allowances'. I don't think anyone who is a part of it is going to have a nice day. Not my gig, too old, but I do see it coming and I won't interfere in any way. And, really? I bless it.
