Arkansas Teacher Gets Jail for Student Sex

On June 17, Ashley Wolfe, 29, negotiated a guilty plea for fourth-degree sexual assault, receiving a two-year sentence and a mandate that she register as a sex offender for the Oct. 26, 2012, incident. According to police records, Wolfe admitted to having intercourse with a 15-year-old student on several occasions.Of course, Wolfe has lost her license to teach.
Wolfe must serve at least one-third of the two years before she can be eligible for parole, according to Rhonda Sharp of the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections.
An official with the Arkansas Department of Corrections said her parole eligibility date is Nov. 9, and she has a transfer screening in September.
