Carolina Woman Accused of Sex Offenses

(Graham, North Carolina) A 31-year-old local woman, Wendy Penland Long, has been accused of sex offenses on an underage victim.

Long faces counts of statutory rape/sex offense by a person more than 6 years older than the victim and indecent liberties with a child.

Randy Jones, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office, said the victim was not related to Long.

According to a news release, “all of the incidents allegedly occurred in the southern part of Alamance County.”

Long was arrested without incident.

Long was booked into custody at the Alamance County Jail with bond set at $100,000.
