Carolina Teacher Allegedly Drunk at School

A Robeson County teacher has been arrested and suspended from her job after she was allegedly caught at school intoxicated on alcohol.

Robin Barnhill, a sixth-grade language arts teacher at Townsend Middle School in Maxton, had a blood-alcohol content of .34, more than four times the legal limit to drive, according to a sheriff's report.

Barnhill was in possession of a plastic bottle of orange juice and a glass bottle of vodka, the report states.
Barnhill faces two misdemeanor counts of possession or consumption of fortified wine, liquor or mixed beverages on unauthorized premises. She has been suspended from her teaching position.
