Florida Caregiver Accused of Stealing $162K

A caregiver was arrested, accused of stealing $162,000 from a legally blind 88-year-old woman.

Police say 42-year-old Maria Daley was arrested Friday after the woman's son discovered the theft. Investigators say the woman hired Daley as a caregiver, intending to give her $200 a week.

The woman told detectives that Daley forged checks and kep the money for herself.

Daley was booked into custody and released on $50,000 bail.
