Pennsylvania Teacher Gets Prison in Sex Case - Update

(Berks County, Pennsylvania) Former Berks County middle school science teacher Jessica Saienni pleaded guilty to engaging in sex with a 14-year-old student and has been sentenced.

Saienni was sentenced to six to 23 months in prison.
Authorities said Saienni had sex with the boy between June and August 2012, with most of the encounters occurring at her now-former home on Third Street in Bethlehem Township.

Court records state Saienni and her husband, Bethlehem police officer Michael DiLuzio, filed for a divorce.

Saienni resigned from her Reading School District teaching position in January, school officials said.
As part of Saienni's sentence, she is banned from being on the property of any school.

(Berks County, Pennsylvania) A 30-year-old Berks County middle school science teacher, Jessica Saienni, has been accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy over a period of several months.

Saeinni faces counts of statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, open lewdness, and intimidation of a witness or victims, specifically the assault victim.
Saienni would allegedly pick up the victim in her car after contacting him via text message, then drive the victim to locations where the sexual encounters would occur, according to court documents.

The initial sexual encounter allegedly occurred near the Body Zone Sports and Wellness Complex on Papermill Road in Wyomissing, with subsequent encounters allegedly occurring in a home owned by Saienni in Bethlehem, Northampton County, court documents state.

Saienni also allegedly sent nude photographs of herself to the victim’s cell phone, court documents state.
Saienni awaits arraignment.
