Illinois Woman Accused of Murder

(Chicago, Illinois) A 26-year-old local woman, Tinesha Brooks, has been accused of killing the father of one of her children, Maurice Paschal, 26.

Brooks faces one-count of first-degree murder.

About 11:40 p.m. Thursday, Paschal was stabbed multiple times near the intersection of East 39th Street and South Indiana Avenue, police said.

Paschal, of the 4000 block of South Michigan Avenue, was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital less than an hour later, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Brooks was booked into custody with bail set at $2 million.
