California Teacher Accused of Sex with Female Student

(Placentia, California) A 35-year-old teacher at Valencia High School, Rebecca Eileen Diebolt, has been accused of engaging in a sexual affair with a 15-year-old girl.

Diebolt has also been accused of sexual penetration with a person under the age of 18.

Officials said the alleged victim contacted the police last week and said she had a sexual relationship with the suspect from 2004-2008.

In 2004, the alleged victim said she was 15 and a language arts student of Diebolt’s. The suspect was also the school’s swim/water polo coach.

The alleged victim told police her relationship with Diebolt started casually and soon become sexual. She also told authorities that sexual encounters took place in Diebolt’s classroom as well as her home, both after school and on weekends.

Officials said the sexual relationship continued after the alleged victim graduated and began attending college.

Diebolt was booked into custody at the Orange County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
