Nepal Treehuggers
(Katmandu, Nepal)
More than 2,000 people have gathered in a park in Nepal's capital in a bid to set the record for the largest tree hug.The action is intended to set a Guinness World Record.
The participants -- including Parliament members, students, office workers and even Buddhist monks -- gathered Thursday at a park on the northeastern outskirts of Katmandu.
They said they were attempting to set the record to celebrate World Environment Day by spreading awareness about the importance of trees.

It helps.
It streches mussels in your arms and back.
So its not always about saving trees.
But I do feel bad when they cut down what appears to be a healthy tree and don't bother to plant another somewhere else.

Sure, I agree. But I'm not going to hug a tree for that, not even... sexy seeming ones. Some, select tree-huggers themselves, maybe, but not a tree, or trees. Bleh.
