Buy Truck, Get Free Gun

A Myrtle Beach car dealership is setting its sights on a specific group of customers with a unique promotion: buy a truck, get a free gun.

The eye-catching sign outside the Addy's Harbor Dodge dealership off Highway 501 has stirred up a commotion. The promotion has been in the works for a while, but organizers put it on hold for several weeks after the rash of shootings over Memorial Day weekend.

"Well you know, it was too soon," said General Sales Manager Matthew Sayers. "We are very community-oriented, we didn't want to cause any stir there, and we also didn't want to bring up the fact that, hey we're giving out guns. That's one of the reasons we're going with only shotguns and rifle, it's really geared towards hunting... not so much just guns in general."

Right now, any customer who buys a new Ram truck will walk away with a voucher for a brand new shotgun or Mossberg 500 rifle.
