Indiana Mom Hammered at School

(Jasper, Indiana) A 45-year-old local woman, Melissa Dolen, has been arrested for driving while intoxicated and neglect of a dependent resulting from an incident at Jasper Middle School.

Jasper police received a call from a concerned citizen at 5:30 p.m. reporting there was a woman staggering as she walked from her vehicle to the entrance of the school.

When officers arrived they found a male juvenile locked in the vehicle Dolen arrived in with the windows rolled up.

An officer located Dolen in the school and determined she was highly intoxicated -- she was later found to have a blood alcohol content of .385 percent.

After getting medical clearance, Dolen was booked into custody at the Dubois County Security Center.
