California Teacher Accused of Sex with Minor

(Marysville, California) A 26-year-old teacher at Marysville High School, Laura Lasek, has been accused of engaging in sex with a student.

Lasek faces counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child 14 or 15, oral copulation with a person under 16, and unlawful sex with a minor.

While a teacher at Thomas E. Mathews Community School, Lasek allegedly engaged in sexual acts with a student who attended the school, according to Sgt. Chris Sachs.

Additional information was unavailable as the investigation is ongoing.

Lasek was booked into custody with bail set at $211,000.
