Blog Award Polling

Well, the polls at Wizbang are still open, so, if you haven't voted, do so now. In my category, Best Ecosystem Marauding Marsupial, the leaders consist of about four popular blogs right now. Interested-Participant is not one of them. In fact, out of 740 votes cast, this blog has received a mere 12, pretty close to the least in the category.

Frankly, when the nominated blogs were initially listed in each category, I was elated just to be included. However, the level of elation has been tempered somewhat by the daily reminder that not many folks are choosing me. Although I think my blog is reasonably interesting reading, popular opinion trends toward other folks. The popular opinion is also reflected in the fact that some of the blogs have had tens and, even hundreds, of thousands of visitors while I've just recently gone above 5,000. But, elation is good, even if it's eroded some.

With one exception, I don't know who has voted for me so I'll send a generic cyber Thank You to whoever did so. Jon Wright mentioned his vote for me on his site, GDay Mate. Thanks Jon. Interestingly, I voted GDay Mate as Best Ecosystem Flappy Bird.

The polls close December 14th. Try to vote.

[Update 12/10/03, 8:00am] I feel like such a bonehead. When I wrote this post, I had forgotten that several days ago I received an email from Ingrid at Me and Ophelia stating she had voted for Interested-Participant. Thanks Ingrid. Sorry for the oversight.
