WWII Bomb Found, French Village Evacuated

From the Times Online - Breaking News:
About 500 residents of a Normandy village were evacuated from their homes as experts defused an unexploded Second World War bomb. The bomb was discovered during construction of a housing development in Evrecy, a village with about 1,300 inhabitants. Officials cordoned off a 400-yard security perimeter as bomb disposal experts prepared to defuse the bomb.
Holy Moly! One has to imagine that, of all the things there are to worry about, an unexploded WWII bomb shouldn't be on the list.
