Canada Sending Forces to Haiti

From the Globe and Mail comes this news.
The Canadian Forces will send a contingent of about 450 personnel to help restore stability to Haiti starting Sunday, Defence Minister David Pratt said Friday.
Although with some apparent reluctance, a 90-day deployment was approved by Prime Minister Paul Martin on Thursday and it was announced today by Defence Minister David Pratt and General Ray Henault. The Canadians will join 1,000 U.S. Marines, 440 French, and 130 Chilean troops.
