FDA Bars OTC Morning-After Pill

(Washington) The Food and Drug Administration decided yesterday not to approve the use of over-the-counter morning-after birth control pills. The FDA stated they needed more complete information and still had questions. Women's groups accused the agency of bowing to political pressure.

I personally wouldn't fault the FDA for taking a conservative approach and I don't think their decision was political. For the sake of full disclosure, though, I'm not a woman.
