Cincinnati Now Wants COPS

Last week, it was previously reported that the Cincinnati Police Chief Tom Streicher told Fox Television producers to stop filming segments of the popular COPS program in Cincinnati to avoid conflicts with members of the City Council. Since then, the City Council has issued a memo, signed by six of the nine members, stating that the Police Chief and the administration should make the decision and the council will stop complaining. Consequently, Chief Streicher has asked the Fox crew to return and complete their production.

Unfortunately, Cincinnati will have to wait a couple months for the video crew to return. When Cincinnati balked, three neighboring communities (Norwood, Hamilton, and Covington) quickly asked that their police departments be filmed, so Cincinnati will go to the end of the line.
