Rabid Raccoons
(Cleveland, Ohio) More than 20 raccoons have been confirmed to have rabies in the outskirts of Cleveland, mostly in Geauga and Lake Counties. To counter the outbreak, vaccine packets encased in fishmeal will be dropped from airplanes starting this week. According to this report, it appears the vaccine baits would look perfectly natural alongside the scones and finger sandwiches at the luncheon buffet. They are about the size of a Trisket and may be eaten by dogs since they are harmless to pets. However, people should always wear gloves when handling and, if the vaccines comes into contact with the skin, wash affected area immediately with soap and water.
