Iran Strengthens Ties With Cuba
The Iranian Ambassador to Cuba, Ahmad Edrisan, announced that the communist regime of Fidel Castro can rely on 20 million euros of credit from the Islamic theocracy. Agreements are in place between the Central Bank of Cuba and the Iran Development Bank. Political and economic relations between the two countries have recently become closer, raising concerns in Washington.
Okay, let me see if I understand this correctly. At the same time that Iran is strongly suspected of developing nuclear weapons, it is cozying up with Fidel Castro.
An ugly picture is being painted, however, there are limitations on the extent of cooperation between the two countries. Under no circumstances can I envision Islam establishing a serious foothold in Latin America.
