Traficant Appeal Denied
Former Congressman James Traficant will apparently serve his entire eight-year sentence for convictions of bribery and kickbacks. His appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court on grounds that he was tried twice, once in court and once in the House of Representatives, has been denied.
I'm probably in the minority in my belief that Traficant should be paroled. Life was a measure more entertaining when he was able to shoot his opinion into the public discourse.
