2005 Weblog Award Finals
I'm honored that Interested-Participant has been chosen as a finalist for the 2005 Weblog Awards. In a way, I'm reminded of the process by which National Football League teams strive to make the playoffs. In the weeks leading up to the final regular season game, there's usually a number of very close races for playoff spots. Once in the playoffs, teams can take a quick breather, but a short one since they are in a whole new season of ball games. Like I mentioned, there's some similarity between the NFL Playoffs and the Weblog Awards and I'm elated to have made the finals.
That said, Interested-Participant is getting trounced. Metaphorically, it's halftime and the score is 100 to 0. Maybe it's because I'm one of those playoff teams that is just flat outclassed or maybe it's because I haven't done any electioneering. I prefer to believe the latter. Nonetheless, at this very moment, Interested-Participant is solidly caboosing the Best 501 - 1000 Ecosystem Blog category.
In the upper left of the page is the 2005 Weblog Award icon. It's also a link to the 501- 1000 voting page. I encourage my readers to click the link and vote for Interested-Participant. Uh ... that is, if you think this blog is worth your vote. Two things worth noting are 1) there's no advertising to hamper your reading pleasure, and 2) this blog uses 'caboose' as a verb.
Help Interested-Participant get out of the cellar. Here's another link to the voting page - Best of the Top 501 - 1000 Blogs.
Addendum: I forgot to mention that a person can vote once every 24 hours until the 15th. So, if readers can see their way to tossing a vote or two my way before then, I'd be appreciative.
