(Beverly Hills) Veteran actress, two-time Academy Award Winner and former roommate of Marilyn Monroe, Shelley Winters, has died of heart failure at the age of 83. With more than half a century in the movie business, Winters was also noted to have been a companion to many of Hollywood's famous leading men. Winters received Oscars for performances in "The Diary of Anne Frank" and "A Patch of Blue." She's been a personal favorite performer of mine. May she rest in peace.
