Prison Nurses Paid $200,000 Yearly

One Ohio prison nurse made $198,000 last year, and another earned $196,000. They top a list of state employees who collected the most overtime pay last year.

Because of a nursing shortage in state institutions, the two nurses averaged more than 40 hours of extra work every week in 2005. An analysis by The Columbus Dispatch shows their overtime more than doubled their salaries.
