ACLU Spearheads Homosexuality Campaign

The ACLU has entered the commercial advertising field.

From PrideSource.com:
The American Civil Liberties Union is seeking same-sex African-American couples in or near Detroit to be part of a national advertising campaign for marriage equality.

The ACLU is working with Public Interest TV (www.publicinterest.tv) to produce commercials that will highlight racially, economically and geographically diverse couples. Ten couples will be picked and interviewed on camera. The goal of the campaign is to give the couples a platform to tell their story of love, devotion and the harm caused by discriminatory marriage laws.

The goal of the ad campaign is to show Middle America that gay couples look, live and work just like them - and therefore deserve marriage equality.

The ACLU will hold a casting call March 7 and 8 in Detroit.
Interested couples must complete a survey questionnaire prepared by the ACLU and then be interviewed at the ACLU office in Detroit.

If the goal is to show that homosexual couples are just like every other couple in Middle America, why is it necessary to have a casting call and audition process?
