Lesbian Coach Gets Two Years Prison

(Newark, Ohio) Last December, 26-year-old former coach at Newark High School, Jessica Spain, was arrested for having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

On Friday, Spain was convicted of three counts each of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and sexual battery. As a result, Licking County Common Pleas Judge Jon Spahr sentenced Spain to two years on each count, to run concurrently. Spahr also ordered Spain to register as a sexually-oriented offender.
