Woman 'Gives In' to Boy

(Danville, Pennsylvania) A 20-year-old Williamsport woman, Melissa Janine Mitch, was arrested and charged with statutory sexual assault and corruption of a minor for engaging in sex with a 14-year-old boy.

A police report stated on the night of March 11, the defendant and the boy were lying on the couch together watching TV. The boy told police they started touching each other and ended up having sex.

When questioned by police, Ms. Mitch admitted to having sex with the boy. She said he was very persistent and told her how much he wanted to "be with her."

Ms. Mitch initially told the boy she couldn't be intimate with him because of his age, but eventually "gave in," the report said.

Mitch was arraigned yesterday and released on $25,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 15.
