As a result of the circumstances and the fact that Padua takes full responsibility for her actions, she was allowed to plead guilty to reduced charges of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Also, according to Assistant Commonwealth Attorney B.J. McGee, the victim was reluctant to testify if the case went to trial.
Today, Padua was sentenced to two years in jail with 23 months suspended. She will also be on probation for three years.
