Woman Gets Year for Sex with Boy, 15

(Pontiac, Michigan) A 23-year-old convicted felon, Donna Williams, pleaded guilty to criminal sexual conduct arising from engaging in sexual relations with a 15-year-old boy. At the time of the offense, Williams was serving a jail sentence and allowed work release at McDonald's where she met the boy. It's reported that she left work to have sex with him.

Notably, even at a young age, Williams has an extensive criminal background with three felonies, including felony assault, and three misdemeanors. Involvement with drugs is documented. As a result, the probation department recommended that she receive a sentence of 18 months to 15 years in prison.

Oakland County Circuit Judge Deborah Tyner ruled otherwise and sentenced Williams to a year in jail with 20 days' credit for time served.

From TheOaklandPress.com:
In addition to jail time, Williams must serve five years' probation, pay court costs of $1,800 as well as $1,800 for supervision fees. She was ordered to comply with sex offender registration requirements, not to drink alcoholic beverages, to undergo alcohol and drug testing, participate in outpatient residential substance abuse treatment and to maintain employment. Williams is to have no contact with the victim, who is from Pontiac, or his family.
Personally, I tend toward believing that Donna Williams' future includes more appearances in court.
