School Pays in Alleged Teacher Sex Case
(Tulsa, Oklahoma) Here's an odd case. A former science teacher at Union Intermediate High School, Paige Cramer, was accused in February of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student. Cramer subsequently resigned her position days before a termination hearing in April. No criminal charges were filed.
Nonetheless, last month the Union Public School District paid the family of the 15-year-old $25,000 to settle a lawsuit filed against it pertaining to the inappropriate sexual behavior of teacher Paige Cramer.
Thus far, Cramer has not been held criminally liable for her alleged behavior nor is it clear that she will be. Presumably, she has relocated to teach elsewhere.
Maybe the police in Tulsa are too busy to investigate alleged sex crimes against children.
